my view on Ecclesiastes is that we wont stop thriving, even when we seek to explain the unexplainable matter; such as how the earth continues to move whether it's from generation to generation the wind will still blow, the sea will still flow. For what we learn we fill grief. From what we learn another generation will but under God nothing is new.
this is what I think the chapter is saying the Teacher son of David king in Jerusalem is basically saying that many leaders before him did not have as much wisdom and he was also saying with much wisdom or knowledge brings more problems. For example from the chapter he says--Ecc 1v18 For with much wisdom comes much sorrow the more knowledge, the more grief.
